Betar Dental provides multiple options to help make your treatment as comfortable as possible. We offer general, IV, and oral sedation to provide the dental services you need. Sedation services benefit those with dental anxiety and special needs.
Dr. Betar is a member of the UPMC Altoona Medical Staff in the Department of Specialized Surgery, Clinical Service of Dentistry. This allows Dr. Betar to provide dental services to children and adults under general anesthesia at UPMC Altoona Outpatient Surgery Center.
Dr. Betar provides IV deep sedation in his office with the use of a Dental Anesthesiologist.
Dr. Betar has a Restricted I Anesthesia Permit which enables him to provide moderate IV sedation to adults and children thirteen years of age or older. He also offers Nitrous Oxide sedation for additional anxiety relief.
